ClearNow Rent Collection Review in 2026
The short answer
ClearNow rent collection handles automatic ACH rent payments. It may fit if you want bank payments without a full property platform. Its site says tenants do not need a computer. Check how they enroll and what the service costs before you choose it.

What's covered5
Check ClearNow for one job: rent paid by a recurring bank transfer. Its published fees depend on the debit schedule and number of debits. Check how a tenant starts or stops a payment, what happens if it fails and how you can keep the records.
Our methodology for ClearNow
We read ClearNow's official homepage and Pricing section on October 17, 2026. We did not link a bank account or make a rent payment. The rates below are published terms, not fees observed in a test account.
We do not name a price winner without comparing the same payment schedule and account needs. We do not use an old review's rate as if it were current. There is no speed score here.
ClearNow rent collection: a narrow payment job
The fit to inspect is recurring ACH, not an all-in-one landlord platform. If you already have a working lease and ledger process, a narrow payment service may be enough. Check whether its enrollment route works for your tenants and the methods they can use.
Source: ClearNow official Pricing section, checked October 17, 2026:
- Monthly debits on the 1st, 5th, 15th or 25th cost $14.95/month for one debit, plus $2/month for each additional debit.
- Semimonthly debits on the 3rd and 17th cost $4 per debit.
- Biweekly debits on every other Tuesday cost $4 per debit.
Each account uses a specific debit day and credits a specific bank account. There is no setup fee. Fees are charged only when you attempt to debit a tenant. The Pricing section does not state return fees or authorization terms. Confirm those details before enrolling.
Check authorization and changes
Ask how a tenant starts and stops a recurring payment. Confirm the notice needed to change an amount or bank account. If rent changes, check whether a fresh instruction is required. Do not assume editing a ledger charge changes the bank authorization too.
Check failed transfers
Find out what happens after a failed debit. Ask whether it retries automatically and how both sides learn the result. Keep the original request and reversal. A new payment request should not duplicate one that is still active.
ClearNow rent collection: records outside the service
Ask for a sample payment history before making the service your only record. It should link each transfer to a tenant and rent period. Check what you can download and how long you can get it after you leave.
Keep the charges in a tenant ledger even if the service handles only payments. A bank transfer history cannot show every credit or the original rent due. The monthly rent spreadsheet provides a separate record when you need one.
Frequently asked questions
Is ClearNow a full property management platform?
This review assesses its stated automatic ACH payment task. Do not infer a full application, screening or bookkeeping system from that task. List the other tools you need and check them separately. A narrow collection service can fit well if your existing lease and record process already works.
What is its current fee?
Use the dated schedule above, matching your debit frequency and number of debits. Before choosing it on price, confirm who pays and whether your setup needs more than one account. Ask about charges after a failed payment too. A missing return-fee amount does not mean a failed debit is free.
Can tenants use it without a computer?
The official site describes that possibility. Confirm the current enrollment and payment process for your tenancy before relying on it. Ask what authorization and bank details are needed, how changes work and how the tenant receives confirmation. The public description is not a completed setup for your account.
What should I compare against it?
Compare another ACH route using the same tenant count and payment schedule. Include subscription and transaction charges, then check records and failed-payment handling. A broad platform may offer more tools than you need. A cheaper narrow route still needs to keep a usable payment history and a clear exit process.
Verdict on ClearNow rent collection
Inspect ClearNow rent collection for a dedicated recurring ACH task. Compare its published schedule against your own debit frequency and account needs. Check the authorization and export as closely as the fee. The rent collection guide explains the wider process that remains outside a payment service.
