Privacy, Cookies and Site Terms

Updated October 15, 2026

This policy covers Best Landlord Software and its public guides and files. It explains which data the site uses to serve pages. It also covers saved checklist progress and the terms for using our work.

Checklist progress

The checklists save the IDs of tasks you select in your browser’s local storage. They do not ask for tenant names or send a filled form to this site. Reset clears the saved progress for that list. Clearing your browser’s site data also removes it.

The progress count is not a legal result. Keep private supporting documents in your own secure records. Do not put tenant credit or bank data into a general task or notes file merely to show that a check is complete.

Search, fonts and downloads

Site search uses a local static index in your browser. Fonts are hosted with the site. The public files do not require an email signup. Opening a workbook or PDF does not submit its contents to us.

If you edit a file in another service, that service’s terms and privacy policy apply. Keep your filled copy private when it contains tenancy information. The blank examples contain fictional figures and are not recommended rents or fees.

Technical requests and correspondence

The host may use network details to serve a page. These can include an IP address and the URL you request. Keep private tenant data out of URLs and search terms. This site has no ad or email-signup programme set up.

If you use the contact form, we use your message and reply details to handle the issue and keep a record. The form uses a spam-trap field, a signed fill-time token and request limits to reduce unwanted messages. Send only what we need for your question. Do not include tenant reports or bank passwords.

We keep correspondence to handle the issue and meet any record duties that apply. Use the contact form to ask about data you sent. Checklist data stays on your device. Use Reset or clear site data to remove it.

Your choices

No ad or analytics tracker is set up on this site. To clear checklist progress, use Reset or remove this site’s data in your browser. Ask about data you sent by email through the contact page. Keep tenant files on your own device or in a secure service you choose.

Vendor and authority links take you to other sites with their own policies. A source link does not mean we control that site’s content or privacy practices. Check the current vendor terms before entering personal information or buying a service.

The disclosure and editorial method explains commercial relationships. No paid referral action is active on this site at present.

Site terms

Use the guides to help check a task. We do not manage property, decide who can rent or file a tax return for you. Check current official rules and the facts for the property. A ticked box does not prove that you have met the law.

Vendor prices and features can change. The check date identifies our source review, not a price guarantee. If a field is unknown or two sources conflict, confirm the selected product terms before relying on a total or verdict.

Original file use

You may use and adapt our original blank workbooks, letters and checklists for your own property records. Check formulas and dates when you move a file into another app. Fill in each letter before use. A routine reminder is not a formal legal notice.

Keep the source records and check each worked result. The files do not process payments or decide legal rights. Other people’s work still belongs to them under their terms. A link to a source does not grant you a right to copy it.

Changes and corrections

We update these statements when the site’s actual data practices change. For a correction, identify the page and statement without sending private records. The contact page gives the useful details for a source-based review.
